RecoveryWorks DE

Building Recovery-Friendly Workplaces Across Delaware
RecoveryWorks DE partners with employers to create workplaces where people in recovery can succeed, grow, and stay. We help businesses move beyond good intentions by giving them real tools, practical guidance, and support to build cultures that are inclusive, supportive, and stigma-free.
This isn’t just about hiring people in recovery. It’s about creating environments where people can thrive.

What We do

We work directly with employers across Delaware to make recovery-friendly workplaces a reality. Through training, consultation, and ongoing support, we help organizations:

Understand substance use and recovery in a real, human way

Reduce stigma and shift workplace culture

Build policies and practices that support employees

Strengthen hiring, retention, and team performance

Move toward Recovery Friendly Workplace Certification

How it works

RecoveryWorks DE combines education, lived experience, and hands-on support. We meet organizations where they are and help them take the next step.

Interactive trainings offered in-person and virtually

One-on-one guidance for organizations working toward certification

A practical digital toolkit with resources you can actually use

Peer facilitators who bring real-life experience into every session

Storytelling that highlights what recovery looks like in the workplace

This initiative is partially funded by the Delaware Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission through opioid abatement dollars, supporting expanded access to recovery and support services.

    WHY IT MATTERS

Recovery is happening all around us. In every workplace, in every community.

When employers are prepared to support people in recovery, the impact goes far beyond one individual. Teams are stronger. Retention improves. Culture shifts. And stigma starts to break down. This is how we build a workforce that works for everyone.
